From Toxics to Green Chemistry: Real World Context and Resources
April 16, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us at the 2021 Community Forum Series hosted by the Two-Year College Chemistry Consortium (2YC3) to get ideas and new resources that can connect to your curriculum! You will hear about several real-world examples of chemicals in products, such as polybrominated diphenyl ethers in furniture to chelating agents in detergents, as well as learn about several green chemistry resources for faculty. There be some time for breakouts for you to discuss additional examples or ways to incorporate materials, hear how others are incorporating materials, or to ask about opportunities to further engage with Green Chemistry. Register now to join us!

Saskia VanBergen, Green Chemistry Scientist, Washington State Department of Ecology
Andrea Ashley-Oywole, Ph.D., Assistant Professor Chemistry, Prairie View A&M University
