Wayne State University
The Department of Chemistry at Wayne State University is committed to the preservation of our planet through the implementation of green practices in our teaching and research and the education of our students and trainees in the principles of Green Chemistry. Our equally strong commitments to safety and research ethics synergize with these principles, and the interrelatedness of these issues is a topic of ongoing discussion and consideration in our Department. With the help of students, faculty, and staff in the Department, we are actively working to incorporate green chemistry into our pedagogy throughout our curriculum. Our mission is to prepare students and trainees for careers in health-related disciplines, research in the chemical sciences, and careers in industry from pharmaceuticals to materials and beyond.
