Villanova University
Villanova is a Catholic, Augustinian institution committed to the Augustinian values of truth, unity, and love. Our mission recognizes that all creation is sacred and fosters responsible stewardship of the environment. The Chemistry Department has taken steps to infuse green chemistry into our undergraduate major and nonmajor courses as well as our graduate master’s degree program. As Green Chemistry Commitment signers, we are forming a committee of interested faculty who will work to expand how we teach green chemistry and sustainability to the next generation of chemists.

The Department will form a “Green Team” subcommittee of interested faculty who will meet to share resources and examples of how they infuse green chemistry into their courses. Additionally, the subcommittee will track the progress of new ideas and initiatives and identify new opportunities to green our curriculum.
