Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) – São José do Rio Preto

The Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences at UNESP – São José do Rio Preto, Brazil, is committed to the principles of Green Chemistry, sustainability, and innovation at both undergraduate and graduate levels. At the undergraduate level, the faculty integrates Green Chemistry concepts into courses within the Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Chemistry and the Chemistry Teaching program. At the graduate level, we maintain a dedicated research line focused exclusively on Energy & Sustainability, in which seven faculty members are directly involved. Emphasizing the importance of innovation in Green Chemistry, our department seeks to promote the development of new processes, materials, and technologies that minimize environmental impact and enhance the efficient use of resources. Our goal is for students to internalize the principles of Green Chemistry and innovation, acting as disseminating agents throughout their future careers and contributing to a more sustainable future.
