Universidade de Aveiro

The University of Aveiro and the Chemistry Department are fully committed to Sustainability, which has been identified as one of the Department’s core areas for Research. Consequently, it is also primarily implanted in its Teaching, mainly through the PhD in Sustainable Chemistry. Additionally, the Department of Chemistry is involved in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Sustainable Catalysis (SuCat), which allows us to increase the study of Green Chemistry in our Department. Moreover, we are embracing principles of Green Chemistry in our laboratory classes and involving our Bachelor students in projects covering new green synthetic methodologies, recycling industrial waste or implementing new sustainable uses for natural resources.
