The College of New Jersey
The College of New Jersey Chemistry Department is committed to providing a high quality chemistry education to all students. We are experimentalist teachers focused on the success of our students. The Chemistry Department has involved aspects of green chemistry into the curriculum since 2010. The department currently teaches green chemistry in the organic chemistry lab course, in the inorganic chemistry course (lecture and lab), and has developed a standalone green chemistry and sustainability course. Some faculty scholarship also integrates aspects of green chemistry.

- Expand green chemistry principles into organic 1 curriculum (lecture and lab)
- Reimagine aspects of the general chemistry curriculum (lecture and lab) to incorporate aspects of green and sustainable chemistry
- Look for opportunities to infuse green chemistry more broadly across the curriculum
- Invite external speakers who research in areas tied to green chemistry
- Look to build collaborations with industrial partners in the region to support green chemistry in research and in the class room
