Sri Guru Gobind Singh College

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College actively promotes environmental sustainability through several green initiatives on the campus. The Department of Chemistry contributes to these efforts by adopting alternative green methodologies and using safer chemicals in undergraduate and postgraduate laboratory practicals. Students are encouraged to compare conventional and green methods, enabling them to gain practical insight into green chemistry pedagogy. In addition, the faculty’s research activities focus on developing greener approaches for the synthesis of nanoparticles, which include utilizing non-toxic solvents and renewable resources to minimize environmental impact.
