Saginaw Valley State University

The Department of Chemistry at Saginaw Valley State University is committed to implementing green chemistry initiatives. Our faculty members introduce concepts of Green Chemistry into undergraduate chemistry courses, culminating in CHEM 418 (Green and Sustainable Chemistry). We are currently working with undergraduate students on a project entitled “Turning Cardinals Green”, in which we plan to revamp our organic undergraduate chemistry laboratories to better adhere to and demonstrate the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry.
