The Norwich University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is committed to including the Twelve Principles of Green Chemistry into our curriculum, including both theory and practical laboratory skills. We hope to continue both “greening” our curriculum on campus as well as perfoming green chemistry outreach through our Student Chapter of the American Chemical Society.

Our Department’s short term goals include implementing new green chemistry laboratories in our undergraduate teaching labs. In the long term, we hope to include green chemistry practices in all of our teaching laboratories while involving students in the development of the laboratory experiences.
