Among our current initiatives, we have redesigned our large enrollment organic labs to incorporate and teach green chemistry principles. This is occurring in conjunction with the opening of MSU’s STEM teaching and learning facility. We are also working to renew our NSF/REU program entitled “Cross Disciplinary Training in Sustainable Chemistry and Chemical Processes.

To integrate Green Chemistry throughout Departmental research, teaching, and service.
On-line resources, including those provided on websites hosted by Beyond Benign, the ACS/GCI Pharmaceutical Roundtable, etc. We also use the primary literature and power point slides shared by green chemistry speakers. Lastly, we are developing materials in-house.
