In the short term, our primary goal is to integrate Green Chemistry principles throughout undergraduate and postgraduate courses, teaching laboratories, and student research projects, rather than limiting them to a single dedicated course. We also aim to establish a seminar series to raise awareness of sustainable chemistry and its practical applications among students and faculty.
In the long term, the Department of Chemistry plans to develop a stand-alone Green Chemistry course, expand research on sustainable and environmentally friendly chemical processes, and strengthen collaborations with national and international academic and industrial partners. Together, these initiatives will equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to apply Green Chemistry principles in research, education, and industry while contributing to the sustainable development of the Republic of the Congo.
