College of William and Mary

The Department of Chemistry at William & Mary cultivates a broad community of scientists and seeks to introduce Green Chemistry in a floor-to-ceiling approach throughout the department’s curriculum and research activities. The fundamentals of Green Chemistry are introduced in General Chemistry. These tools are further refined in Organic Chemistry courses, upper-division electives, and faculty-mentored research activities. The Department is dedicated to showcasing Green Chemistry and “how chemistry impacts health, the environment, and society”.
