examples of our in-person teacher training
High school workshops:
Our one-day workshops include an introduction to green chemistry, and an introduction to green chemistry curriculum resources that replace hazardous chemicals in the classroom, and also provide a context for teaching chemistry through the lens of Green Chemistry through real-world greener technologies.
Our 2-4 day workshops include the content in our one-day workshop, in addition to in-depth curriculum work with teachers where teachers are able to re-design their curriculum in alignment with the 12 principles of green chemistry and state and national learning standards.
Middle school workshops:
Our middle school workshops introduce teachers to green chemistry and sustainable science practices through an interdisciplinary format. The workshop enable teachers to connect the physical sciences to sustainability through real-world greener technologies and project based learning curriculum units.
Elementary school workshops:
This sustainable science training is based on curriculum developed for grades 3-5. This interdisciplinary curriculum introduces students to sustainable science through contextual examples of cutting-edge greener technological advances such as biomimicry to STEAM.
