We offer in-person workshops to K-12 teacher to adopt green chemistry in their classrooms and laboratory exercises. All workshops are facilitated and run by Beyond Benign staff in partnership with Beyond Benign Lead Teachers who have extensive experience in green chemistry theory and practice.

High school workshops:
One-day format:
Our one-day workshops include an introduction to green chemistry, and an introduction to green chemistry curriculum resources that replace hazardous chemicals in the classroom, and also provide a context for teaching chemistry through the lens of Green Chemistry through real-world greener technologies.
Multi-day format:
Our 2-4 day workshops include the content in our one-day workshop, in addition to in-depth curriculum work with teachers where teachers are able to re-design their curriculum in alignment with the 12 principles of green chemistry and state and national learning standards.
Middle school workshops:
One-day workshops:
Our middle school workshops introduce teachers to green chemistry and sustainable science practices through an interdisciplinary format. The workshop enable teachers to connect the physical sciences to sustainability through real-world greener technologies and project based learning curriculum units.
Elementary school workshops:
This sustainable science training is based on curriculum developed for grades 3-5. This interdisciplinary curriculum introduces students to sustainable science through contextual examples of cutting-edge greener technological advances such as biomimicry to STEAM.
