Roger is currently President and Chief Science Officer at McFadden and Associates LLC, a professional consultancy with extensive retail, supply chain and consumer product formulation experience focused on green chemistry, safer chemicals/materials, green engineering, sustainability, green cleaning and formulation of consumer products. Before McFadden and Associates, Roger served as Vice President and Senior Scientist at Staples, a position he held from June 2009 until February 2016. Before joining Staples, Roger was Chief Science Officer and Sustainability Leader for Corporate Express, a position he held from May 2006 until July 2009 when Corporate Express was acquired by Staples. Before joining Corporate Express, Roger served as Senior Scientist and Director of Product R&D at Coastwide Laboratories a position that he held from 1988 until 2006 when Corporate Express acquired Coastwide Laboratories.

Holding a Master’s of Science Degree in chemistry from University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Roger consults and advises retailers, consumer brands, chemical makers, product designers, higher education institutions, health care organizations, NGOs, consumer advocates, public agencies, policy makers and private corporations. Roger is a green chemistry and science leader recognized for collaboration, creative thinking and innovative design; Respected industry
professional with strong networks in business, retail, consumer brands, chemical industry, academia, government and NGO community; Skilled in consensus building through common and pre-competitive collaboration.
