Adele Mastroyannis is currently a high school teacher in Science and Mathematics, and completing her PhD in Marine Biotechnology with a green chemistry focus. Her project is extracting South Australian Brown algae polyphenols with antioxidant activity for anti-aging skin health products. Her knowledge stems from bioprocessing of brown algae, analysis of compounds, and dermal delivery systems for skin care. She is an advocate for green and sustainable skin health products and currently completing a Diploma in Cosmetic formulation to move towards her goal of commercialisation. Her passion also leads into the education space, with a driven nature to promote green chemistry and be a leader of change in the Australian setting.
