DESCRIPTION:Green chemistry provides a framework and lens for learning\, teaching and investigating chemistry concepts. This session will highlight unique partnerships across New York State with many regional BOCES\, New York Pollution Prevention Institute\, New York Department of Conservation\, Beyond Benign and chemistry teachers. Join lead teacher\, Scott Carlson\, to learn how innovative green chemistry technologies are serving as tools to capture the imagination of the next generation of problem solvers. In addition\, learn about a variety of green chemistry replacement labs that offer safe lab alternatives to concepts that are aligned with state standards and Regents exams.
