How did you connect with Beyond Benign?
I attended a 1 day workshop at SUNY New Paltz, supported by the New York State Department of Conservation.
What first drew you into teaching and science education?
I wasn’t sure what to do with myself while waiting to hear back from medical schools. I began subbing in my local school to make some money, and was asked to cover a Biology class for a teacher who had to go out long term. I loved it, and never looked back!
What excites you most about teaching green chemistry?
It’s a wonderful way to ensure not only the health and safety of my students, but my own personal health as well! There are so many new developments in the field today that I hope I can inspire tomorrows leaders, and potentially make a lasting impact on our future.
