See the official conference description\, sourced from the CSC 2024 website\, quoted below. \nOfficial Event Description\n“Together with the entire organizing committee\, I invite you to Winnipeg June 2-6\, 2024 for the 107th Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition\, CSC 2024! Winnipeg is located on Treaty One Territory\, original lands of Anishinaabeg\, Cree\, Oji-Cree\, Dakota and Dene peoples\, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. For thousands of years\, this site at the confluence of the Assiniboine and the Red Rivers has been known as a meeting place\, and we look forward to meeting you and learning about your discoveries. \nWinnipeg was to have hosted this annual conference in 2020\, but the pandemic forced the cancellation of that fully-planned meeting. After going two years without in-person conferences\, many of us recognized that these gatherings are about more than seeing and hearing the latest work in our field; they are especially about meeting: networking\, making new contacts\, getting to know one another beyond the publications and patents. When we at the University of Saskatchewan were invited to host this conference for the first time since 2005\, we embraced the idea of bringing people together\, and we were happy to team with our colleagues at the University of Manitoba to host the chemistry community and to honour all the work of the 2020 team. \nOur conference theme\, “The Central Science”\, is inspired in part by our recognition that Chemistry touches upon all scientific disciplines\, and we hope that scientists studying every aspect of chemistry and its applications will gather to share their knowledge and experiences.
