Beyond Benign

Outreach Fellows

CE Outreach Fellows

The Beyond Benign outreach fellows program seeks to empower undergraduate students to be green chemistry ambassadors on their campuses and in their communities. Fellows are introduced to green chemistry principles and practice and given the tools to share their passion for science and sustainability. These students connect our higher education and K-12 programs as advocates for green chemistry solutions.

Throughout the academic year, the outreach fellows reach thousands of students and community members through engaging, hands-on activities that showcase innovations and opportunities in green chemistry. At each event, fellows inspire the next generation of problem-solvers by bringing chemistry to life in fun and exciting ways.

Over the course of the academic year, fellows represent Beyond Benign at various community events and have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of sustainability through completing a project related to innovative green chemistry solutions. Outstanding fellows may also apply to represent Beyond Benign and share their excitement for green chemistry at the annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference hosted by the ACS Green Chemistry Institute.

College students play a powerful role in advancing green chemistry on your campus, in your lab and in your community.

*We will not be accepting applications for 2019-2020 Outreach Fellows.
